Dagar first appeared in All Great Comics by Fox in 1947. Dagar is actually the name of the male character, the female character is named Ayesha. After the first appearance the title changed to Dagar. Although more of a Middle Eastern/Persian theme, she fits into the Jungle Girl genre because of her costume, the content of her stories and the Good Girl art.
