Jann like Lorna were part of Atlas/Marvel's attempt to enter the Jungle Girl genre. Jann began in Jungle Tales issue #1 in September 1954. The series changed names as of issue # 8 to Jann of the Jungle until it ended in issue 17. I do not own any Jann so if you can add any information, please do. I don't know her origin. It seems from the covers that she is always fighting the same two hunters/poachers.
