Judy of the Jungle. She is a pretty obscure character. Judy appeared in Exciting Comics published by Standard Comics. Her first appearance was in #55 and she lasted for 14 issues. She was predated in Exciting Comics by Kara Jungle Princess, but I have never seen the earlier comics or scans of Kara. Judy had a Black Panther named Kala and a friend named Pistol Roberts, a park ranger. She is fairly independent character and the one book I have her in has the best cat fight I have seen in comics(name calling, blood, etc ... no hair pulling though : ) These comics are quite collectable due the great covers by Schomburg. Again, another incomplete origin. Let me know if you know more.
